International Film Education & Mentoring

Alongside my artistic practice as a filmmaker, I work as a lecturer, programme director and mentor in international film education. Since 2023, I have served as Senior Lecturer, Programme Director and Lead Mentor of the International Class at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, where I shape the programme and support international film projects from their first idea through development and production.
Approach
I understand teaching as a shared, practice-based and collaborative process. Rather than imposing a single method or aesthetic, I support participants in developing their own artistic voice through practical exercises, close mentoring and critical reflection on the social contexts in which images and stories are created.
Areas of Teaching
- Film Directing & Visual Storytelling
- Script Development
- Documentary & 16mm Filmmaking
- Project Development and Artistic Mentoring
- Collaborative and Intercultural Creative Processes
- Inclusive and Participatory Film Education
International Experience
My international work includes leading a three-year film exchange programme between Germany and Chile in collaboration with the University of Valparaíso, and supervising the year-long Young Film Makers Circle in Abu Dhabi with ADMAF. As a German-Chilean filmmaker, I teach in English, German and Spanish and am particularly interested in spaces where different cultural perspectives and cinematic traditions meet.
Workshops & Collaborations
I develop workshops, masterclasses and longer educational programmes for film schools, universities and cultural institutions. For guest teaching, artistic mentoring or international collaborations, please get in touch.
